Absurd Alternative Challenge
Open by questioning why the viewer would do something the normal way when they could adopt an absurd, extreme, or 'psycho' alternative instead.
Breakdown
- 01Name the conventional action the viewer defaults to.
- 02Immediately undercut it by proposing an exaggerated, unhinged alternative.
- 03Use a rhetorical 'why... when you can...' structure to create the gap.
- 04Keep the alternative vague enough to make them stay for the explanation.
- 05Deliver the payoff by showing the absurd method actually works.
Example openers
“Why study for finals like a normal person when you can be a psycho instead.”
“Why wake up at 5am like everyone else when you can be a psycho instead.”
“Why meal prep on Sundays like a normal person when you can be a psycho instead.”
“Why (insert action) like a normal person, when you can be a psycho instead.”
